The sculptural wall piece is a rendition of an areal view of the present day remains and topography of the ancient site of Babel. Made by hand, combining sand and mortar, the artist modeled and traced the furrows of the archeological site with his finger. The site where the tower was supposed to sit is in the vibrant metropolis of Babylon, in what today is Iraq.
